I’m reaching out to share the devastating reality they’re currently facing there in Valencia due to the DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels) storms. Over the past days, torrential rains have caused catastrophic flooding, leaving many communities in a state of emergency.
Tragically, countless families remain stranded and isolated, without rescue or essential assistance. Many areas lack electricity, potable water, and basic supplies, and people are struggling to survive in these conditions. The lack of governmental response has intensified the crisis, and affected communities feel abandoned as resources remain inaccessible.
In response, I have coordinated with a close friend, who is managing the finances for a relief effort through a local nonprofit organization that is tirelessly working in the hardest-hit neighborhoods, providing food, water, diapers, and other essentials. We’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $10,000, and I want to assure you that the process will be fully transparent.
If you feel moved to support, every contribution will go directly toward providing immediate assistance to those who need it most. Even spreading the word will help us make a difference.
We ask you to keep the people of Valencia in your thoughts, and if you are able, consider supporting our relief efforts. Every bit of awareness and help matters during this urgent and difficult time.
Thank you for your attention and support. My people are devastated and the Valencia population is showing and incredible strengths and support for the community. Also, people around all Spain are collaborating on this catastrophe.
I need to use my voice in this part of the world and help my neighbors in this crisis. We are all heartbroken.
With hope for safety and recovery,
Krystel Cabanes
